Not only am I a therapist with over 30 years of experience working with adolescents and young adults, I am also a parent. I have both professional and personal knowledge of the struggles, and successes, of the triumphs and tragedies that can occur in the lives of teenagers.
In addition to my private practice, I also am a psychotherapist for the NorthShore University HealthSystem Adolescent Bridges Program. I am a frequent speaker at workshops for teens, parents, social workers and psychologists on various topics related to adolescent mental health.
I earned my B.A. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1987, and my Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago's Jane Addams College of Social Work, in 1989. A native of the Chicago area, I am also a New Trier High School alum.
